Liviu Tudor is the new secretary general of the Romanian Association for the Club in Rome
Today, the 12th of June, the General Assembly of ARCoR approved the investment of Mr. Liviu Tudor as General Secretary of ARCoR, while acknowledging the successful activity of the former General Secretary, Mr. Călin Georgescu.
Mr. Călin Georgescu has been General Secretary ever since 1998 and had a major contribution to the implementation of all ARCoR projects, contributing to the local and international recognition of the Romanian Association for the Club of Rome. The chance of management was due to the fact that Mr. Georgescu has received new responsibilities within the Club of Rome, as he was named President of CoR in Europe. As such, Mr. Călin Georgescu will oversee the implementation of many important projects of the Club from Vienna headquarters.
Mr. Liviu Tudor is the new General Secretary of ARCoR. He has 23 years of experience in the business segment and over 15 years of expertise in real estate and commercial properties. He is the manager of Genesis Development, mostly known for the development of Novo Park and West Gate business parks, as well as for creating the first private campus in Romania, called West Gate Studios. 17,000 people work and live in these real estate projects. Prior to his investments in real estate, Mr. Liviu Tudor founded the first sattelite communication company in Romania, called Digicom S.A.
Liviu Tudor is the founder and the President of RABO, the Romanian Association of Landlords and has been recently named Vice President of East European Countries within EPF, the European Property Federation – the most important organization gathering landlords, investors and developers in real estate. Their portfolio of properties combined was evaluated at over 1,500 billion EUR.
Within ARCoR, Mr. Tudor has had an active presence, implementing pilot projects for students studying in Romania. He graduated the Polytechnic University in Bucharest, with a degree in aeronautical engineering. He also received an inventor’s patent in applied electronics. He completed his studies by attending the London Business School.
